Key to Lasting Weight Loss? Sure. But Orangetheory Fitness is So Much More.

Orangetheory Fitness was in the news, but members of OTF Fort Worth might have something to add to the story.

Hey OTF Fort Worth, did you see Orangetheory Fitness in the news? Fox recently published an article about Orangetheory Fitness with an attention-grabbing headline: “Why this exercise’s ‘afterburn’ effect may be the key to lasting weight loss.” This is an appealing benefit to say the least—especially to those of us who have started burning for the summer.

The piece details the astounding transformation of Tiana Borges, who has lost 42 pounds and gone from a size 10 to 0 in the past two years since starting Orangetheory. (She says she’s now on her way to a six-pack!) It mentions Colleen Trip, who lost interest in gym after gym until finally discovering Orangetheory Fitness and seeing real results on the scale. The article even explains the science-backed components of the workout and factors that lead to results:
  • Heart-rate monitored interval training for optimum calorie burn and an after-workout calorie burn called EPOC (excess post-exercise oxygen consumption)
  • Movement between treadmill, rowing, and weight training stations for a full-body workout
  • Heart rates displayed on overhead monitors for added accountability and motivation
  • Group class atmosphere with one-on-one attention from a trainer
But here’s something it doesn’t mention—something you might only know if you’re a member and have experienced OTF Nation first-hand. It’s something that will always set Orangetheory apart from come-and-go fad workouts that attempt to incorporate some or all of the above elements. Orangetheory Fitness Fort Worth isn’t just a gym. It’s not just workout. It’s a lifestyle.

When we ask our members what they burn for—yes, weight loss does emerge as a goal shared by many. But OTF nation burns for so much more: confidence, training and physical ability, and setting a good example for the kids are some of the big ones. What you burn for is about your passion—and passion is one thing that Orangetheory will never be short of.

Follow your passion to Orangetheory Fitness, and the weight loss (or muscle gain) will come. It’s important to take the long-view approach. Instead of trying a fad gym or trendy diet that helps you shed 20 pounds in 2 months then gain it all back (and then some), look at the big picture and what’s really important to you. Make a decision that will change your whole life for the better—forever. Although the Fox News article focuses on weight loss, its headline hits the nail on the head: Orangetheory isn’t just another key to weight loss; it’s the key to lasting weight loss. Burning for your best summer bod is a great motivator to get you started, but why stop there?

Orangetheory Fitness is ideal for people looking for true, lasting change.
